Goat Meat Pot Fest

YANGGUO Festival, or the Goat Meat Pot Festival, will begin tomorrow in Yangguo Village, Cangqian Old Town of Hangzhou.
People in Yangguo traditionally eat goat organs after the autumn harvest. Villagers select the best-quality meat from one and two-year-old goats and use a special recipe to prepare the best goat offal and soup in Hangzhou. Traditional dragon dances will also be performed.
Named “China’s No. 1 Traditional Food Village,” Yangguo has attracted some 3 million tourists since the annual festival was launched in 2006.
