HANGZHOU residents will soon be able to take high-speed trains to Fuzhou in Fujian Province, and Wenzhou in Zhejiang Province, thanks to the high-speed link connecting Ningbo in Zhejiang and Hangzhou with Nanjing in Jiangsu Province that goes into service on July 1.
The trip from Hangzhou to Wenzhou by high-speed rail will be shortened by half to about two hours. The earliest train leaves Hangzhou East Railway Station at 7am.
It will take four and a half hours to travel from Hangzhou to Fuzhou - an hour and a half faster than the current trip.
A total of 21 bullet trains will travel from Hangzhou to Fuzhou each day, said officials.
