Man beaten by wife

A man called police for help after he was badly beaten by his wife on a highway on Monday.
The man reported to police that he was attacked by a mental patient on a highway at about 10am. The highway patrol police found the man and his 40-year-old wife near their car at the exit ramp of Hangzhou-Ningbo Expressway in Xiaoshan District.
The couple quarreled in their car over trivial matters as they were driving to Shangyu and their spat turned violent when the wife slapped and punched the husband.
The man stopped the car on the exit ramp, pulled the car key out and got out of the car to call police. He didn’t turn on his flashing lights or place a warning sign behind the car. The officers tried to make peace but the man refused to get into the car for fear of more punches from his wife. As a result, one officer drove their car away from the highway.
The man was fined 200 yuan for stopping his car on the highway without giving proper warningto other motorists.
