Night cruise on the lake

PEOPLE can take a night cruise on the West Lake from now until October 31 and enjoy the light shows on the banks, the music fountain and islands.

Night cruises are available at ferry docks along Hubin No. 2 Park, No. 3 Park and No. 5 Park, Children’s Palace and Broken Bridge.

No. 5 Park ferry dock has two magnificent dragon boats that served world leaders during the G20 Summit held in Hangzhou last September.

Each night cruise lasts for 50 minutes. The service is available from 6:30pm to 9:30pm before September and 6pm to 9pm after that.

Cruise passengers can enjoy classical Chinese music, Longjing tea and some refreshment during the cruise for 90 yuan per adult and 45 yuan per child.

Boats at Hubin No. 1 Park and No. 2 Park cost 50 yuan per adult and 25 yuan per child for a round-the-lake cruise between 5pm and 9:30pm before September and between 6pm and 9pm afterwards.

Rowing boats are available near Broken Bridge.

Visitors can navigate their boats and explore a secluded lagoon in the northern part of West Lake. Tourists can also hail a boat.

All boats are equipped with a GPS system, search lights and life-saving equipment.
