MORE than 2.21 million Taiwanese visited Hangzhou in the past four years, making the island the biggest offshore tourist market for Hangzhou.
The city is one of the top five mainland destinations for Taiwanese travelers.
To attract more visitors from Taiwan, Hangzhou installed a 65-inch touch screen in Taipei to show its scenery, historical sites and the lifestyles of residents. The photos can be saved to smartphones by scanning a QR code.
The touch screen also offers information about hotels, dining, shopping, entertainment, weather and transportation in Hangzhou.
