Rescue equipment

XIANHENG International Emergency Equipment Center, the first of its kind in the world, opened recently in Tiantang Economic Park in Hangzhou. It displays thousands of rescue and emergency equipment, including drones and robots.

The 3,000-square-meter center opens daily from 8:30am to 5:30pm. Visitors can check out exhibits such as a high escape slide to help people in a high-rise building escape from a fire.

Qu Guosheng, a member of the China International Rescue Team who joined rescue missions after the Sichuan earthquake in 2008 and the Japanese tsunami in 2011, said advanced equipment can play a vital role in rescue work. The range of products on exhibit is extensive.
