TRIAL operations of the southeastern section of Hangzhou Metro Line 2 will begin in November and the first phase of Metro Line 4 in January.
Line 2 will have 13 stations. Some stations will have shuttle buses to connect with railway stations and tourist attractions.
Once both lines open, the city’s subway network will form a circle.
Hangzhou spent 5.05 billion yuan (US$816 million) on traffic projects in the first half of 2014. Projects included the reconstruction of the Xiaoshan Airport Expressway, and the expansion of Hangchang Expressway.
