Tulip show returns
After a hiatus, the annual tulip show at Taiziwan Park will return next year, Qianjiang Evening News reported.
This year’s tulip event was held at the Huiyin Korean Temple on Santaishan Road near West Lake. Taiziwan Park was unable to host the flower spectacle due to efforts to restore the fertility of its soil.
Tulips were first planted in Taiziwan Park more than two decades ago.
Park officials say crews began planting tulips again last week and these bulbs should bloom in March. All bulbs in the park are imported from the Netherlands.
