THE new Hangzhou UK Visa Application Center on Chaohui Road opened last Wednesday.
The new center at Shenlan Square has 12 windows, including eight for applications, two for fingerprint collection and photography, and two for interviews.
It first opened in April 2005 as one of 12 UK visa centers on the Chinese mainland. The center received a record 15,750 applications last year, up 31 percent from 2012.
The center will process most UK visa requests within 24 hours.
