District’s federation of enterprises leaps forward

THE Changning Federation of Enterprises offers a platform for companies to contribute to public welfare.

“A platform like this creates a triple-win situation. The government serves as an intermediary, the companies make a contribution and the people benefit,” said Dai Yafei, general manager of Shengfei Leisure Products Co, during “The Sixth Changning District Public Welfare Partner Day.”

“I benefited a lot by attending the public welfare partner day held by the federation of enterprises,” said Qian Yaoxian, secretary general of Changning Private Enterprise Association.

Established in 2014, the Changning Federation of Enterprises counts 178 companies as members, up from an initial membership number of 117.

As part of a “tripartite mechanism” responsible for negotiating labor relations, the federation not only deals with labor disputes, but also values entrepreneurs’ and companies’ potential. It strives to promote harmonious development between enterprises and communities.

The federation organized three public welfare activities for its members last year.

In March, 26 companies joined a carnival celebration.

In July, the federation sponsored a “Seven Color Public Welfare,” which taught participants how to shoulder social responsibilities and participate in community governance.

During “The Sixth Changning District Public Welfare Partner Day,” 20 companies created a sales volume of 27,015 yuan (US$4,160) and welcomed 208 visitors for free consulting.
