A total of 40 office buildings in Changning have installed 50 so-called smart delivery pickup cabinets. The new system is supported by cloud technology, Internet of Things (IoT), authentication algorithm and high definition surveillance. Couriers place the packages in the cabinets and recipients can pick them up using the code sent to their smartphone via text messages. The courier will be able to use the service upon registering with identification information. Scan the barcode and the system will automatically generate a code and send it to the recipient’s cellphone along with a message to pick up the package.
