Advanced treatment to clean the water

An advanced water treatment project has been launched in Jia-ding. One of the district’s major projects this year, a foundation pit enclosure has been finished and ground infrastructure construction is in process.
The project makes use of ozonation and activated carbon to lower permanganate content in the water. Covering an area of 6,372 square meters, the project includes two major parts: a pre-ozone contact tank and a comprehensive tank.
After treatment, permanganate in the water can be controlled to about 1 milligram per liter, half the municipal standard.
The civil engineering construction is estimated to finish later this year and the project will be in use by the end of next year.
The ozonation and activated carbon treatment ability of the northern waterwork will reach 300,000 cubic meters per day.
The advanced treatment project at Yongsheng Waterwork has been approved and the project at Anting Waterwork is in process.
The advanced treatment project will be promoted across the district in five years. At that time, water quality and safety of the water supply will be greatly improved.
