THE 2011 China Automotive Design Awards were announced at the Shanghai Auto Museum in Jiading District. About 1,000 pieces of work from more than 170 colleges and universities applied for the award, but only 10 outstanding pieces were lucky enough to get it.
Bank opens
Shanghai Jiading Minsheng Rural Bank, founded by China Minsheng Bank and Jiading District government, has started operation. The bank plans to set up one to two outlets in the district this year and develop eight to 10 outlets in three years.
Park honored
Nanxiang Zhidi Innovation Park, together with 10 other parks, was named as one of the "Shanghai Famous Brand Industrial Parks." The assessment covers all national and municipal-level development zones, industrial parks, logistics parks and special industrial bases. The winners will appear at 2011 China International Industry Expo.
Company's new HQ
Kindly Medical Devices signed with the Jiading Industrial Zone to invest 630 million yuan (US$97 million) to establish its China regional headquarters, which will manage the group's 12 subsidiaries in Shanghai, Guangdong, Zhejiang and Jiangxi provinces.
Bus-part award
Shanghai Komman Vehicle Component Systems Co Ltd has grabbed the "Annual Bus Supporting Recommended Product" award for its independent suspension product at a nationwide bus-component competition.
Red Cross help
Twenty needy families have received a total of 200,000 yuan relief funds from Jiading's Red Cross. The aid project is funded by Shanghai Koal Automobile Accessory Co Ltd.
Plant completed The construction of the third phase of the Yakult plant in Jiading was completed and the plant's fourth production line was put into operation, which will drive the daily output to 1.46 million bottles of active lactobacillus drink.
Finance program
China Merchants Bank intends to finance small and medium-sized enterprises in Jiading in the second half of the year, bank officials said at the Jiading SME Development Forum.
