Busy times at industrial zone

CONSTRUCTION of key projects at the Jiading Industrial Zone was in full swing in the first quarter of this year.
The projects included the East China headquarters of WuMart and 91 Finance, the second phase of Pierburg Shanghai and commencement of business at Shanghai United-Imaging.
This year, Jiading Industrial Zone has focused on stabilizing economic growth and promoting industrial transformation with service support for important projects, such as quickening the land expropriation to promote the project of the second phase of online trader Jingdong.
In February, the zone started construction of the Volvo China R&D Center. With a total investment of 386 million yuan (US$61.81 million), the center is expected to be completed by the end of November.
The construction and renovation of roads, rivers, water and power supply systems are also under way in the zone as well as other commercial projects.
