District opens 11 summer schools

Jiading District opened 11 summer schools on July 6 with tuition available from 8:30am to 4pm, Mondays through Fridays. The first session of summer schools was from July 6 to 24 and the second is from August 3 to 21.
Summer schools are open to local primary school children raised by working parents with venues at community culture centers, community schools and village offices.
Each school is run by teachers and volunteers.
Each session should cost parents not more than 600 yuan (US$94) per child. The tuition will cover children鈥檚 lunch and water as well as insurance, activities and awards.
