Entrepreneurs heading downtown
Entrepreneurs who have their companies registered in Nanxiang can now work in downtown Shanghai since the Nanxiang Huanqiu Economic Zone, which provides an incubator service to dozens of projects, opened up 3,000 square meters of office space there.
More than 40 entrepreneurial teams will move into the unspecified location and start their businesses.
The zone is working with Timeng Incubator to find more potential blue chip projects.
Cui Dong, one of Timeng鈥檚 founders, is also vice president of a training agency. His team seeks candidates when it offers training courses at enterprises and colleges nationwide.
Although the innovation space is in downtown, their registration addresses and rear bases are still in Nanxiang, according to the economic zone authority.
鈥淲e offer them preferential policies including free power and water supply, free property management and low rent for working space,鈥 said an official with the economic zone. Team members may also live in rent-free apartments.
The economic zone will lead entrepreneurial teams to establish their own companies in Nanxiang.
Each will obtain subsidies from the zone authority.
It now has 15 offices in Shanghai and Beijing, each for different types of teams and projects.
The economic zone is also cooperating with CPC Incubator for some high-tech projects. Some have their products industrialized or have even become best-sellers.
Its own tower with 26,000 square meters of space has been put into use with a service center on the first floor.
It works with China鈥檚 biggest innovation social network, Black Horse Club, to hold regular road shows and has opened a cafe where entrepreneurs can meet and exchange ideas.
