Expo visitors to enjoy Jiading

JIADING District is the only Demonstration Site for Shanghai Expo Experience Trips.

With a theme of "Town Life, Colorful Jiading," they will focus on six scenic spots - Zhouqiao Old Street, Nanxiang Ancient Town, Anting Auto Culture, Malu Grape Garden, Huating Farmer's Family and Lotus New City.

Zhouqiao Old Street is perhaps the best interpretation of Jiangnan old town's flavor, featuring bridges, rivers and local residents.

During the Expo, visitors can take the chance to visit Shanghai Confucius Culture Festival and enjoy the venue's distinguished charm blending both simplicity and modern facilities.

As a national AAAA scenic spot, Zhouqiao is highlighted by Jiading Museum and Bamboo Carving Museum where exhibitions are consistently held.

Nanxiang Town, the birth place of the Nanxiang Xiaolong (small steamed bun), is a historical and cultural town well known to all Shanghai natives. Guyi Garden, one of the four classic gardens in Jiangnan area, is situated in the town.

To enjoy the changes of the times and experience local residents' simple life, visitors will find Nanxiang a tranquil and ideal place.

Anting Town is where the auto industry and car culture show their influence on people's life. Shanghai Automobile Museum displays a world of vehicles, from old classic cars to the most chic new models.

The town also offers a variety of opportunities for people to enjoy the fast lanes in person in Shanghai International Circuit.

To sample the happiness of a harvest, the grape-picking experience at Malu Grape Garden is a unique experience. It offers an insight into modern farm life and is popular among the tourists.

More rural life experiences are available at Huating Farmer's Family, where people can go fishing, taste local cuisine and live with rural families to help work in the fields. Most city dwellers will find their dream of rural life come true here.

The construction of Jiading New City is in full swing. It has been listed as "China's Most Inhabitable Eco-City" and is now leading the district to its new future.

It has now successfully attracted 10 five-star hotels. A batch of culture projects will soon be constructed.
