Flowers brighter new green belts

JIADING is taking on a greener look by completion of green belts at the expressway entries and public spaces.
At Jiading's downtown area, green belts totaling more than 9,000 square meters have been renovated into public parks for local residents.
North of Dongdajie Street and west to Huancheng Road, a green belt covering 5,000 square meters provides orange osmanthus trees to predestrians. The green belt at Huancheng Road and Chengzhong Road has been turned into a recreational space featuring trees such as elm and gingko.
During the World Expo, Jiading offers six scenic spots with Expo themes to visitors. Entries at expressways to Jiading are decorated with lotus, a symbol flower of Jiading. Furthermore, 480,000 flowers are placed at the entries in vivid patterns to symbolize the united spirit of Chinese people.
With the coming of Malu Grape Festival, Dayu Village at Malu Town will become a hot spot for tourists from all over the world. The village now features pink peach blossom, white pear blossom and yellow cole flowers in different seasons. The village has also expanded its green area by 130,000 square meters.
