Small and micro companies enjoy faster service by the local power company, thanks to the latter鈥檚 move to improve Jiading鈥檚 business environment.
A heater manufacturer in Jiangqiao Town received large quantities of overseas orders in May and had to set up a new production line. It applied for an increase in its factory鈥檚 power capacity.
Such a task used to take two months but Jiading Electric Power Company finished the job in half that time, allowing the company to complete the order a month earlier.
An official with the power company said the application process for increasing power capacity for small and micro companies had been streamlined.
It used to take about 50 days to increase power capacity, but that had been shortened to 30 days. When there is no construction work involved, it can be done in just five days.
The power company has also introduced other services to make it more convenient for customers, such as issuing value-added tax invoices online.
