Jiading leads artificial breeding of knife fish

A big progress in the artificial breeding of coilia ectenes (knife fish), an endangered species, has been made in Jiading. Experts have bred more than 120,000 knife fish since the facility was set up in 2006 and the survival rate is now up to 56 percent.
