Materials 'library' opens up new possibilities

EEGOO Group has introduced Material ConneXion, a new material "library," to Nanxiang Town in March to help companies find the best manufacturing materials.
More than 6,500 cutting-edge and environmentally friendly new materials can be seen at Material ConneXion. MC is a global materials consultancy with the world's library of advanced, innovative and sustainable materials and processes. It boasts a good number of scientists, laboratories, material manufacturers and creative design institutions. Besides its 6,500 new materials, 50 to 60 new materials will be added each month.
MC officials said that in applying new materials, it aims to make the products lighter, shinier, healthier, more fashionable, stable, more anti-scrape, longer lasting, more environmentally friendly and more innovative.
Most top companies in the world have found materials meeting their requirements at MC. BMW chose textile fabrics for its concept car GINA, which made the car's shell smoother and lighter. Estee Lauder found an innovative material in MC and produced the package for its perfume Beyond the Paradise. McDonald's found a green building material in MC and has since constructed sustainable and more attractive restaurants.
Nanxiang MC is MC's second institution in China. Since its first material library set up in Beijing in September 2011, it has attracted a great number of enterprises, universities and designers to work together.
More than 10 universities and colleges use MC's database for teaching and design research.
