QIUQIAO Village in Jiading Industrial Zone will spend 10 million yuan (US$1.58 million) to build the second phase of the Qiuqiao Welfare Institution. The first phase cost 27 million yuan. The project will cover 4,850 square meters, including 200 beds, a rehabilitation center for the elderly and single rooms. It is expected to be completed by May and open in the second half of next year. The welfare institution is the biggest of its kind at village-level and is fully occupied now.
