Why I love my car - and my car club

THEY say girls, including those who buy them and drive them, pay more attention to a car's style and appearance than performance - as long as it has four wheels and moves. I know this because that's how I used to feel about my own car.
In the first six months after I got my car, I considered it merely a vehicle, a means of transport that made my commute more convenient.
Then I joined a car-owners' club with a friend and the wonderful world of cars and clubs opened to me. I learned more about cars, made close friends and had a lot of fun.
When I think of club activities, I remember all my "first times" - the first time I traveled with strangers, the first time I drove my new car on a long trip and the first time I accepted a new lifestyle.
My first car club activity was a barbecue at Wistaria Park (Ziteng Park). We suggested the cook-out via QQ and gave everyone assignments. On the barbecue day, we got grills started, people brought food and the party got underway. Although we were not familiar with each other, and met some people for the first time that day, we had something in common to talk about - our cars. This brought us close with each other. We chatted away and had a lively afternoon. Then we tidied up when the sun began to set.
After I joined the club, there were changes in my life. I exchanged knowledge about car maintenance with other car owners; I learned from their driving tips; I consulted them when I had problems, and everyone generously provided advice and assistance.
Now, whenever I drive on the road, I just love to look at license plates moving along trying to find anyone I know in the club - it makes me happy.
As a result of getting to know other car owners, I have become happier. We not only exchange auto knowledge but also make true friends. People are no longer strangers. We shake hands or nod, honk the horn or flash the lights when we meet - signs of friendship, trust and gratitude.
