Hub for nation’s big data

THE Shibei High-tech Industrial Park aims to serve as a base camp for the city’s and nation’s big data industry, with the Shanghai Data Exchange being opened on April 1.
The Shanghai Data Exchange will take advantage of data analysis technologies to boost the economy and improve urban management, said the Shanghai Commission of Economy and Information Technology.
And it is expected to help the city transform to an international financial center and a global science and innovation center, it said.
The Bank of Shanghai has announced to offer a credit of 2 billion yuan (US$308 million) to the exchange’s operator Shanghai Data Exchange Corp.
Now, Shibei High-tech Industrial Park is home to more than 150 Big Data and cloud computing firms.
