Another entertainment landmark to brighten life in Minhang
MINHANG'S entertainment map was recently added with another landmark, Shangle Plaza.
The new plaza on Xingmei Road covers 26,000 square meters and opened to the public this month.
It is home to more than 40 restaurants and retailers, including Papa Johns, Zangle Soup, Niumandi Steak and many others.
People can find a variety of Chinese food at the Shangle Plaza ranging from Sichuan, Hunan and Cantonese to Korean barbeque and Japanese sushi.
Beauty salons, a children's theme park and supermarkets will also be found there.
Tom N Toms
The South Korean coffeehouse in the Shangle Plaza is the flagship store in Shanghai, providing fresh tastes by roasting 100-percent premium Arabic coffee beans, as well as latte, espresso, mocha, cappuccino, and tea and desserts.
Tom N Toms is currently running more than 100 chain stores in South Korea and the staff in this Shanghai flagship store have all attended a one-month professional training course in South Korea.
Baby Art
This is the third outlet of this leader in early childhood development program after it set up in Xintiandi and Wujiaochang area.
Baby Art is aimed at fostering creativity and confidence in children aged 2-7 through doodling and painting.
Each class is priced at 90-150 yuan (US$13.3-22.1) and the art center now has more than 100 members.
Bani'er Spa
The high-end beauty salon and spa boasts Shanghai's only O2 Tntraceuticals, a machine which can help smooth wrinkles and tighten the skin. It is said to be beloved by many American stars including Madonna.
Its massage combining five essence oils is one of the spa's features, at the price of 298 yuan.
Wan Jia Restaurant
The Cantonese restaurant features top-drawer foods such as swallows' nests, abalone and sharks' fins.
The restaurant spent more than 10 million yuan on its interior design and decor, but the prices are not that intimidating. For afternoon tea, you can taste authentic Cantonese dim sums at special discounts offering 20 to 50 percent off the normal rates.
Some of the restaurant's food, such as chicken and seafood, are brought in from Zhanjiang City in Guangdong Province by air each day to guarantee freshness.
