Children encouraged to make up stories

A fairy tale competition for children began this month in district schools.
Primary students in grades 1-4 and middle schools students from grades 1-2 are eligible to enter by submitting original fairy tales of up to 400 Chinese characters. Accompanying drawings are also accepted. The fairy tales are supposed to focus on scientific themes.
The contest is called “Science: Little Frog and Big Wisdom.”
It will be underway until November. Award-winning works will be put on exhibit later this year.
