District leads in energy savings

MINHANG saves the most energy and reduces the most consumption by 11.46 percent, ranking it the leader of the city's 18 districts, according to latest assessment by Shanghai Municipal Development and Reform Commission, Shanghai Economy Information Technology Commission and Shanghai Construction and Traffic Commission.
Minhang's factories consumed a total of 1.178 million tons of coal, a drop of 15.4 percent compared with last year, and solar systems have been installed in more office buildings and factories.
