EVENTS promoting environmental protection were held in the Jiangchuan Cultural Center. Residents made reusable bags to encourage the public to move away from plastic ones. Recycled items such as buttons, glass bottles and eggshells also figured in craft exhibitions at the center. Meanwhile, the Xinhong Community celebrated World Environment day by distributing information on smog and recycling. Over 30 volunteers, 200 residents and 100 children participated in the event.
