MORE than 104 unlicensed sex stores selling fake Viagra were shuttered by Minhang police in the latest crackdown on illegal sex trade operations. More than 107 suspects have been detained.
Officials said they seized more than 12,000 fake Viagra tablets valued at 1.2 million yuan (US$188,670). Boxes of 20 tablets were sold for between 100 yuan and 400 yuan.
Under Chinese law, selling fake drugs is punishable by a maximum sentence of up to three years in jail.
