Feathered friends in his lens
Zhang Xin, a Minhang photographer, is what the British would call a twitcher. Now retired, his hobby is focusing his lens on birds.
He said a friend introduced him to bird-watching and he became hooked.
He started at Chunshentang, a little pond near his home that attracts egrets and has since widened the scope of his hobby. Zhang travels around China on the hunt for interesting, often rare, birds.
He was recently in the city of Rongcheng in Shandong Province, where he fulfilled his dream of photographing wild swans.
