MINHANG police cracked a number of cases involving the illegal use of liquefied gas tanks. A man surnamed Yuan, who operates a small restaurant in the Qibao area, was detained for five days for installing five 15-kilogram gas tanks without fire-protection safeguards. A grocery store owner surnamed Zhang was detained for illegally trading the tanks in the Huacao area. A man surnamed Qi was detained for 15 days for purchasing 85 liquefied gas tanks from an unlicensed tank station in Jiangsu Province and transporting them to Shanghai to sell.
