Jinming Housing Estate will be the first of the district’s old residential complexes to install an elevator. Construction began in late September and is expected to be completed next year. It’s part of citywide efforts to install elevators in old residential buildings to facilitate access for the elderly and disabled who have difficulty navigating stairways.
