THE Xinzhuang flagship store of Gome Electrical Appliances Holding Ltd. recently opened on the third floor of Skymall, taking over the former site of a Best Buy outlet after the US company closed all nine China stores in February, including six in Shanghai. Gome beat out rivals Shanghai Yongle Household Electrical Appliances Co. and German retailer Media Markt in competition for the site. Gome pledged to provide after-sale services for consumers who had bought products at Best Buy.
