A security guard surnamed Lu, who works for a neighborhood on Huaning Road, was severely injured last week when the man driving in the area suddenly sprang out and attacked him with a knife. Lu suffered 10 wounds but his condition was listed as stable. The perpetrator was detained by police, who said he appeared to be under the influence of drugs.
