THE Minhang District Justice Bureau recently launched a book donation campaign for prisoners in district jails. Bureau officials, employees with the Minhang District Notary Office and lawyers working in the district donated nearly 50 books, both literary and self-help. Donors said they believe good reading habits will help prisoners pass time and may provide some with productive channels of pursuit once they are released.
