MINHANG is hosting more than 20 job fairs for migrant workers though the end of April.
Information on labor law will be offered to inform migrant workers of their rights. Local authorities have stepped up efforts to crack down on illegal labor practices.
In March, Minhang authorities raided the Shanghai Yixin Co on Zhongchun Road and the Shanghai Zuoqing Co on Shenwang Road. They reported that Yixin was forcing its workers to do overtime with no extra pay and Zuoqing was involved in disputes over labor contracts.
The two companies were ordered to remedy their malpractices. The heads of both companies promised to do more to protect workers? rights and to increase pay.
