Rail construction recently began that will include a 9.5-kilometer extension of Metro Line 13 to the Hongqiao Business District, Pudong and the downtown area. It will be the first railway section built in Minhang’s Huacao area. Construction on a 44-kilolmeter Jiading-Minhang Line will also proceed. It will reach Taicang City in Jiangsu Province as part of Yangtze River Delta transport integration.
