THE first lecture of "Chunshen Lantai History and Culture Series Lecture" started in Chunshen Cultural Plaza on May 31.
Xiong Yue, vice director of Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, spoke on "Looking into Shanghai History and Culture from Thriving Minhang."
In the lecture, Xiong attributed Minhang's prosperity to five main reasons -- the background of reform and opening-up, the improvement of traffic facilities, increase of population, development of real estate and technology innovation, which also refelects the development of Shanghai.
