Improved business environment for firms

The Business Environment Reception Hall, established by the Qingpu District Administration for Market Regulation, has been put into operation recently to optimize enterprise-related services.

The reception hall operates on the principle of addressing the needs, advice and feedback of enterprises, collaborating with companies to develop a top-tier business environment in Qingpu.

The hall is at 185 Qinglong Road. Its open reception area, electronic screens showing real-time rolling policy lists, clear and concise information walls, and comfortable negotiation seats reflect its enterprise-focused service concept.

It is not a traditional office space but a comprehensive service platform integrating policy promotion, problem coordination and follow-up feedback.

“As an offline practice base for face-to-face communication between the government and enterprises, the establishment of the reception hall is an innovative measure of the administration to implement Shanghai’s 8.0 Action Plan for Optimizing Business Environment and continuously build a first-class, market-oriented, law-based and international business environment,” said Chen Juan, an official with the administration.

“It is a platform that pools the strength of experts from all walks of life to provide professional intellectual support for policy formulation and implementation, and is a hub for gathering diversified forces, which integrates resources from the government, industry organizations and other parties to help enterprises solve common and individual demands on a regular basis,” according to Chen.

She added it also incorporates full-process services like policy interpretation, implementation guidance and effect feedback to facilitate the final stages of policy implementation.

Through a regular interaction mechanism, it builds a new cooperative relationship between the government and enterprises with synchronized development and is expected to become a warm harbor for cooperation for common development.

“The launch of the hall is a vivid practice oriented to enterprise needs and driven by institutional innovation,” said Sun Weixing, a staff member of the administration. “In the relaxed and comfortable environment of the reception hall, we can more effectively listen to enterprises’ needs and their opinions and suggestions on relevant policies.”
