Have picture made ‘under the sea’ at film park

UNDERWATER photography at Shanghai Film Park used to be open to movie crews only, but now anyone can have their picture taken in the drink.
The new service has attracted young couples who are seeking unusual, romantic and unique photos, according to Tang Qianghua, an official with Shanghai Film Park.
Professional photographers and specialized equipment and techniques are available.
Couples can dive in and pose comfortably in the water, kept at 32 degrees Celsius. There is also a filtration system to keep the pool’s water clean.
Reservations are required for underwater photography — call 5760-0439.
Since many films have been set and filmed at the park through the years, it also offers a tour of famous movie sets.
Among them are a 1930s Nanjing Road, shikumen alleys of Shanghai and the Suzhou Creek neighborhood. An exhibition of film costumes and props also can be seen at the park.
