Surfing while bus riding

Three bus lines in Songjiang will soon be outfitted with free WiFi signals, allowing passengers to surf the Internet as they ride.
The pilot project will begin with the No. 10 Hongqiao bus line that links Songjiang and Hongqiao Airport, and with the Songxin A Line and B Line connecting Songjiang and Minhang districts.
Passengers wishing to use the service will have to download an app on their smart phones.
Locals who pre-tested the new system said the Internet speed on the buses is faster than on the 3G mobile phone network.
If the pilot project is a success, WiFi will be expanded to other bus lines in the district.
