Angelic voices of Paris boy choir to delight Shanghai
ONE of the world’s top three boy’s choirs, the Little Singers of Paris will perform in Shanghai on International Children’s Day.
Since its founding in 1907, the choir has performed throughout the world. It has already made four world tours and stunned audiences with “pure and heavenly voices.” Many critics describe them as “voices of angels from Paris.”
This time they will present both classical choral pieces and a cappella-style world music. Their set will include Caccini’s “Ave Maria,” Mozart’s “Alleluia,” Russian music “Maroussia,” Japanese folk song “Sakura” and Chinese children’s song “Dili Dili.”
The singers of the choir mostly range from 9 to 14 years of age. They receive strict vocal training classes each day and normally leave the choir at around 15 when their voices change.
