China on the Move’ series gets BesTV rerun

VIEWERS who missed the two-episode documentary series “China On The Move,” which debuted on Dragon TV, Docu TV and ICS last week, can watch a replay as often as they wish on BesTV.

A joint effort by Shanghai Media Group’s documentary center and the UK’s Lion Television, the series is focused on the achievements of China’s poverty alleviation program and the fast recovery of the nation’s economy in spite of the impact of the pandemic.

From the perspectives of veteran foreign TV anchors Jenny Cortes Ybanez and Cameron Andersen, the series tells impressive stories about the efforts and perseverance of both the Chinese government and its people in the face of adversity.

The first episode is about poverty alleviation success in the country’s rural areas.

Over the past few years, China has made great strides in poverty alleviation.

The documentary points its lens at flourishing new industries in rural areas and the influence and role of the Internet in marketing and distributing local products.

The second episode shows how industries have recovered from the pandemic with endeavors in structural innovation and transformation.

Although many people’s lives have been changed by the pandemic, they move on with courage and confidence to embrace a bright future.
