Fashion tips to stand out from the crowd

SUMMER is filled with spectacular sporting events that entail a social and, for women, an equally important, dress code. The Longines Global Champions Tour in Shanghai will welcome the world’s best equestrian riders along with some well-dressed spectators.

Sleeveless T-shirts, shorts and flip-flops are definitely out for this event. Plan accordingly to ensure you arrive in appropriate attire.

Woman can opt for elegance with a cocktail dress or A-line skirted style dress in a variety of bright or pastel hues.

However, if the plan is to make a lasting impression, use accessories to create an original look. Hats are especially good at being conversation pieces. But if headpieces are not your thing, add a bit of glamour by supplementing an outfit with statement jewelry. Chunky cuffs and oversized necklaces or earrings that highlight the overall look will create the desired impact.

Classic Longines timepieces

Longines is delighted to present the fourth leg of the Longines Global Champions Tour, which will be held in Shanghai from today through Sunday. This event offers a great opportunity to discover Conquest Classic, a collection of watches dedicated to the equestrian world. True to the brand’s values of elegance, tradition and performance, this collection, all fitted with self-winding calibers, is both contemporary and timeless.

With a diameter of 29.50 millimeters, the women’s model in steel and rose gold is set with 30 diamonds (0.501 carats). It houses the mechanical caliber L595. The dial is made of white mother-of-pearl and is set with 12 diamond indices. It displays the hours, minutes and seconds, as well as the date at three o’clock. This timepiece is water-resistant to five bars and its screw-down case back is fitted with sapphire glass.

Longines’ involvement in equestrian sports dates back to 1878, when it produced a chronograph engraved with a jockey and his mount. Since 1912, Longines has been partnering with show jumping events and is now an official partner of the world’s most famous and prestigious equestrian competitions.
