Francophone singer from Quebec

CANADIAN francophone singer-songwriter Ariane Moffatt performs tonight and tomorrow at the Expo's America Square.

The innovative artist from Quebec draws inspiration from a variety of sources, from electro-folk to jazz to techno.

Her performance is part of Canada's cultural program at the World Expo, showcasing artists in fields from performing arts to media arts.

The eclectic program brings together 165 artists from across Canada.

Moffat studied music in college and was enrolled to a popular music and singing program at the University of Quebec in Montreal.

Her talent and stage presence have attracted high-profile French Canadian artists who recruited her to play for their bands.

She has won Felix and Juno Awards and has collaborated with many artists such as Daniel Belanger and Marc Dery.
