Relax at this riverside restaurant
Marlin Bay, an exclusive new waterfront dining venue on the Bund, now welcomes non-members with reservations.
Located inside the Shanghai Yacht Club near the South Bund's Cool Docks area, the restaurant offers a view of Nanpu Bridge and diners can also watch boats moving up and down the Huangpu River.
It opened last month.
"Without question, the perfect atmosphere and well-prepared dishes make customers forget where they are," says Duane Kennedy, the restaurant's general manager.
"Be it for dinner or pleasure, the Marlin Bay experience is a break you deserve from the hectic pace of city life."
A wide choice of Asian, Cantonese and Western cuisine is available. There's USDA Prime Rib-Eye Steak and for seafood lovers, there are crabs cooked in a variety of ways, from curried to prepared with black pepper.
Diners can take advantage of promotional offers to enjoy the varied cuisine.
The Saturday & Sunday Champagne brunches offer a generous Western barbecue complemented with Asian and Chinese highlights, signature cocktails and ice-cold beverages.
Saturday & Sunday Brunch is priced at 188 yuan (US$29) per person, 288 yuan with free-flow red and white wines, or 488 yuan with free-flow Champagne, imported oysters and red and white wines.
