Schoolgirl saddles up for summer fun

Summer vacation is Xilinhua鈥檚 favorite time of year. In order to attend middle school, the 14-year-old lives most of the time with her grandparents in downtown Xilinhot, north China鈥檚 Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, while her parents run a ranch on the Baiyinxile pasture.
Therefore, summer means both relaxation and a reunion with her parents for the seventh grader.
Every day when she finishes her homework, Xilinhua likes to enjoy summer with parents and pals, be it a ride on horseback, archery or playing a traditional Mongolian board game.
Xilinhua鈥檚 father Gangsuhe is a well-known horse rider in the region. Xilinhua was able to master equestrian skills when she was only 10.
The girl has recently taken part in a horse parade during a Naadam event held near her family ranch.
