Water park music fest in Songjiang
A weekly summer music festival gets underway at the Playa Maya Water Park this Saturday, with plenty of bikinis, beer, samba, rock music, can-can dancers and other entertainment.
The brand-new park in Songjiang District officially opens on Friday. It is the largest outdoor water park in East China.
Popular bands and artists will perform, including campus singer Lao Lang and Shanghai musicians Li Quan and Xue Zhiqian. Visitors can help decide the musical program by voting on Weibo for popular songs.
The park generates waves using advanced technology to make the water experience more exciting. Light shows will be staged. Aboriginal dancers will perform.
