Gorillas groom tourist
A TROOP of wild mountain gorillas recently dropped by a tented camp in Uganda's Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, turning a typical eco-tourism encounter upside down.
Video record shows that baby and adult gorillas approached American John J. King II. They sat with him, grooming him while he was sitting in quiet amazement - right next to a giant male silverback gorilla.
"These gorillas were interacting with me just like I was one of their own," King said. The rangers said that they never knew that adult animals are interested in playing with humans while it happens normally between baby gorillas and visitors.
