After journey to Europe, students and professors reflect

THE “Sight-seeing & Meditating — Three Journeys to the West” at the Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Hall showcases the achievements of professors and students from Tongji University’s College of Architecture and Urban Planning in three journeys to the West in recent years.
On display are sketches, paintings, photographs and multi-media artworks in three sections: “Deutschland•Italia•Journal”, “All the way to the West” and “Parler à Paris”. Every piece of work shows Chinese knowledge of the Western world, be it the culture of locals, the urban character, or the architecture .
When professors and students returned to China from traveling in Europe, they re-organized their raw materials and works. The outcome is an exhibit that shows the public a conceptual representation of their journeys.
